WELLHQ ACHIEVED PRIMARY OBJECTIVE TO CREATE, MANAGE CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY CLINIC FOR MEDICAID, UNINSURED IN CENTRAL OHIO

TRANSITIONS  MANAGEMENT OF CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY CLINIC AT THE NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE TO ITS BOARD OF DIRECTORS

COLUMBUS, OH --- Today, WellHQ (www.wellhq.com), a chemical dependency clinic management consulting firm specializing in treating addicted moms and opioid addicted patients, announced that it would be winding down its involvement with the Chemical Dependency Clinic it developed at The Neighborhood House, Inc. (NHI)

David All, President and CEO of WellHQ issued the following statement:

“Our team is grateful to former CEO Charles Wheeler, current leadership and the team operating The Neighborhood House, Inc. (NHI) for the opportunity to serve the community and help so many in the King-Lincoln District and beyond start to find freedom from addiction.

“We were asked by the CEO of NHI last November to help him make an impact in the community by expanding behavioral and medical services to the neighborhood to fight the opioid epidemic. That’s exactly what we did.

“Together, by creating a comprehensive addiction clinic providing both medical and behavioral services for those on Medicaid and to those that were uninsured, we did what many would consider impossible on a shoestring budget. Those constraints and challenges sparked meaningful innovation and raised important questions about the state of treatment and recovery, or lack thereof, in Ohio. These learnings inform our mission and work moving forward.

“As we realign to continue working on our mission, we understand that NHI is in the hands of its Board of Directors and subsequent leaders to operate a clinic moving forward. The neighborhood desperately needs it.”

List of Accomplishments by WellHQ managing NHI’s Chemical Dependency Clinic:

  • Expanded addiction  services to include Medication-Assisted Treatment and Intensive Outpatient Treatment

  • Managed OHMAS Certification process

  • Developed innovative treatment engagement processes  to include evidence-based programs and Recovery + Wellness Electives

  • Managed ADAMH Addiction Treatment Program

  • Increased NHI monthly billable revenue 31 percent

  • Recruited a doctor, nurse, clinicians, and administrative support to fully staff clinic
